As Mayor of Holyoke, Alex stopped all new fossil fuel infrastructure, replaced the last coal plant in Massachusetts with the largest solar field in the state, and put Holyoke on the path to 100% renewable energy.

 

Incumbent Richard Neal is the only member of the Massachusetts congressional delegation to not have signed onto the Green New Deal, and continues to accept money from fossil fuel PACs and executives.

 

Alex has signed the No Fossil Fuel Pledge, promising to not accept contributions from the PACs, lobbyists, or executives of oil, gas, and coal companies.
