- Holding Anti-Choice Groups Accountable: On Monday, CfA filed an FEC complaint against the anti-abortion Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund for filing false campaign finance reports and accepting an illegal corporate contribution. (Press Release )

- Obtaining Reproductive Healthcare at an Anti-Abortion, Anti-Birth Control Clinic: The Pacific Standard included an email obtained by CfA that shows Obria, a religious ministry masquerading as a healthcare organization, is opposed to contraception and abortion. (Pacific Standard, 8.09.19)
- Controversial Fertility App: CfA Counsel Alice Huling discussed a controversial fertility app pushed by the Femm Foundation, whose board opposes abortion. (The Guardian, 7.29.19)
- Hidden Travel Expenses: The Salt Lake Tribune interviewed CfA Executive Director Daniel Stevens about a law firm's excessive charges and attempts to hide its travel expenses while working to shrink the boundaries of of a national monument in Utah. (The Salt Lake Tribune, 7.28.19)
What We're Reading:
- YouTube Putting Profits Over Its Own Standards: Google ignored its own rules so it could continue to make money off of top YouTube creators despite problematic their content. (The Washington Post, 8.09.19)
- Funds Are Divesting from Environmentally Disastrous Companies, But Where's BlackRock?: Bloomberg reported that some financial firms are beginning to divest from coal and oil stocks. Absent from the article is any mention of BlackRock despite CEO Larry Fink's grandstanding about sustainable investing. (Bloomberg, 8.07.19)
- Big Tech's Big Lobbying: Public Citizen published a report last week showing Google, Amazon, Apple, and Facebook have spent a combined $350 million on lobbying and campaign contributions since 2010. (Public Citizen, 7.31.19)
