My dad always called public education the great equalizer. He wanted more for his two sons than he had growing up, and he knew that the classroom could make that happen. And now one of his sons is running to be the next Governor of Virginia.
As Mayor of Richmond I was able to increase funding for Richmond Public Schools by almost 50%. In fact, the City now provides almost three times more funding than the state requires.
Virginia families deserve more and the state isn’t stepping up.
But we can change that. As Governor of Virginia I will fight tirelessly until ALL Virginia kids have access to a quality education.
