I hope you had a great Presidents’ Day weekend!

I know you’re probably getting back into the swing of things after the long weekend, so I won’t bug you with a fundraising email today. But can I get your help with something else?

I’m looking for responses to my February Priorities Survey — and there’s no one I’d like to hear more from than you. Will you take a minute (or two, tops!) to let me know what issues are most important to you right now?

I’ll be frank, Washington has been a mess recently.

House Republicans put on a masterclass of dysfunction and partisan brinkmanship this month, voting down a bipartisan border security bill that they themselves demanded and then voting to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas — a stunt they admitted was purely political and designed to help Donald Trump win re-election.

The good news is that this “do nothing” approach completely backfired, inspiring voters in New York to reject MAGA extremism and help Democrat Tom Suozzi — who ran on a message of reproductive freedom and delivering real solutions for the American people — win a critical special election.

So while I’m dismayed by the endless political games in Congress, I’m hopeful for all that we can accomplish this cycle to get Washington back on track.
