Friends and Comrades- We have an important week coming up: A rally for Alianza Tenant Union, a busy General Meeting, and continuing support for a ceasefire in Gaza. We feel great pride to see so many fellow New Mexicans showing up for so many worthy causes!

Support Tenants in Espanola
|
Tenants at Las Lomas Apartments are on strike, demanding management address basic livability concerns, curb rising rents, and cease retaliatory behavior. Join them this coming Saturday at noon to show support against exploitive landlords!
|
We have a very full schedule for our General Meeting on Sunday the 25th! Officer elections, 3 resolutions to debate, and other important announcements are all on the agenda. Please join us at 2pm at Earthcare(6600 Valentine Way) to help us steer the direction of our chapter in the coming year!
|
We will be electing the following positions at our meeting on Sunday:
Co-Chairs(2)
Secretary(1)
Treasurer(1)
At-Large Organizers(Up to 4)
Should we have a contested election for any of these positions, we will be using the Single Transferable Vote system to determine winners. Here's a short video explaining how the system works.

We have 3 resolutions to consider at the meeting on Sunday:
?
- A resolution for the chapter to fund up to 5 members to attend the upcoming Labor Notes Conference in Chicago in April.
- A resolution to amend our current quorum rules
|
Finally, with the great news that Albuquerque has a new chapter up and running, there is a proposal to change our chapter's logo to represent our part of New Mexico, rather than the whole state:?

Tell the City Council: Ceasefire Now!
|
Despite overwhelming public opinion in favor of a ceasefire in Gaza, it appears the City Council is currently only hearing from supporters of the genocidal Netanyahu government. Please contact the City Council at this link to let them know that Santa Feans demand a ceasefire and a resolution calling for one from our city governement!
|
DSA depends on support from ordinary members, rather than corporate funding or grants. As we ramp up our campaigns to take on the millionaire and billionaire class in New Mexico, any donations you can provide will go a long way.
