John, do you know what you’ll be doing two weeks from today?
I’ve already got most of my day blocked out—in fact, I have it blocked out for pretty much every day over the next few weeks. I’ll be crisscrossing the state, same as I have been for nearly a year now, meeting voters and trying to get our message out before we put a wrap on this primary election.
Because, frankly, the only thing that matters for the next two weeks is how many voters hear that message.
Since last March, my team and I have been getting out to as much of the state as we possibly can. We’ve done more than 150 events in every corner of the state, from Cherokee County to Pasquotank County and everywhere in between. We’ve talked to just about every kind of North Carolinian there is, because this movement is about building opportunity for all of our neighbors, no matter their circumstances or geography.
We know that when we share our message, it resonates. When people learn about what I stand for and the network of supporters I’ve built, we win. But I can’t be everywhere.
And right now, we know that my primary opponent is doing a major blitz across most major social media. Our most important need for the next two weeks is to keep pace with him—because while we know that our message resonates more than his does, the greatest danger to our campaign is the possibility of voters only hearing from him before they head to the polls.
So if you haven’t chipped in yet, I really need you to step up. We’re on the air in the places we know we need to be, but there’s still so much more to do before I’ll feel comfortable that our message is getting out everywhere it needs to and that we’ve got this thing locked up.
If you believe in our message—if you believe in this campaign—can I ask you to please chip in as little as $25, or whatever you can afford today?
