We’ll make this quick. Last week the Illinois State Rifle Association filed an appeal with the US Supreme Court to challenge Gov. JB Pritzker’s so-called “assault weapons ban”. ISRA was founded to support and protect the rights and freedoms of all citizens protected by the Bill of Rights under the United States Constitution, and we need your help to continue our mission of education, safety training and support of Illinois' law-abiding firearms owners. In addition to the many services we provide to support our members, the ISRA is presently leading the charge as a named plaintiff on two cases and playing a supporting role in an additional five more – totaling 7 cases dealing with constitutional issues on behalf of law-abiding gun owners in Illinois. To date, ISRA has invested hundreds of thousands of dollars defending our freedoms in court. We anticipate our present legal challenges will surpass $1 million by the time they are completed.
