Get training and support to step into NVDA

Hello John

Next week will see mass action against those who have the power to give all of us a fighting chance:
the insurance giants. We’ll be visiting some of the 20 companies that insure 70% of fossil fuel projects.

There are ways to have an impact for those who want to engage in Non-Violent Direct Action (NVDA) and for those who do not. Every person present, in any role, on any of the days, will increase the impact.

Photo of a person with their back towards us holding a sign that says non violent and has the XR logo on it. There is a protest happening around them

NVDA is a type of protest that doesn’t harm others. It’s powerful, and it works.

First time for NVDA?
There will be lots of opportunities for NVDA next week, many of them perfect for first timers. XR UK actions are supportive environments. There will be experienced people there to welcome you, stand alongside you and answer your questions.

NVDA training is a good idea if it's your first time, or you want a refresher. Join a session on Sunday at 10am to learn about the theory and practice of civil disobedience. If you’re not sure, come along anyway with no commitment.

Not ready for direct action just yet?

There are plenty more ways to get involved - like marches, art, performance, and other creative actions. Learn more.

Love and courage,
XR UK

PS There will also be NVDA training available on site. Find us at the Welcome Hub next week.
