Dear John,
In preparation for International Women's Day, Population Matters is
delighted to invite you to the launch of a new, independent report:
BREAKING SILOS: ENDING THE SILENCE ON POPULATION AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH
AND RIGHTS
For decades now, worries about "population control" have meant that
concerns about population have been rejected by campaigners and
organisations promoting women's rights and reproductive health - including
even the UN's own population agency, UNFPA.
This new report argues that rejecting population arguments is harming the
very people that those organisations seek to help. Join its authors and our
own Florence Blondel at the launch event, to find out how poverty, gender
equality and the health and wellbeing of hundreds of millions of women and
girls could be improved by embracing positive, empowering population
action.
