John,
In case you missed it, news dropped on Friday that privately, Donald Trump favors a 16-week national abortion ban.
He doesn’t want to make his stance public because he *knows* that it’s unpopular. But here’s the thing—even before this headline, we knew everything we needed to know based on Donald Trump’s track record.
- He appointed three of the Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe, a decision he has since bragged about being responsible for
- He nominated over 200 other judges, many of whom have gone on to limit abortion access, trans rights, and more
- He rolled back the Affordable Care Act’s requirement that employer plans cover birth control
- He gutted funding for Title X programs
From the top of the ticket all the way down, anti-choice politicians attack our reproductive freedom by saying one thing and doing another. That’s why it’s so important that we hold them accountable to their records.
A majority of voters don’t support Trump’s ban, and they don’t support politicians inserting themselves into our personal healthcare decisions.
That’s why we’re fighting back at every level of government, electing pro-choice candidates who will champion policies that promote reproductive freedom at every opportunity.
It’s all hands on deck right now, and we’re grateful for your support.
In gratitude,
The Vote Pro-Choice Team
