John,
Earlier this month I announced that the Middle Georgia Community Action Agency is receiving a $3,091,496 grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families.
This partnership with the federal government is helping more families and young children have a strong start in life. These funds are a valuable investment in our community’s well-being, and they give our children a better chance to reach their full potential in the years and decades ahead.
Head Start provides critical assistance to low-income families to help them meet their essential needs. It provides much needed support and resources that have and will continue to positively shape the future for hundreds of children in Georgia.
In Congress, I have worked to secure robust funding for these programs each year — and I will continue working to invest in Head Start programs and ensure our children and families are given the resources they need.
Friend, it’s critical that we invest in our children — they are our future. Will you make a contribution of any amount as I work to support America’s families and our next generation of leaders?
Thank you,
Congressman Sanford Bishop
