John,
Imagine this: You’re flying 30,000 feet in the air when suddenly, part of the airplane’s exterior blows out. Unfortunately, this isn’t a scene from a nightmare, it’s the terrifying reality of flying on a Boeing 737 MAX 9.
The Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) grounding of the MAX 9 fleet is a red alert, signaling that Boeing's safety failures are not just oversights but a systemic pattern of negligence.
Boeing's executives have repeatedly chosen profits over the lives of passengers. Their reckless greed has compromised the safety of millions and tarnished the integrity of our aviation industry. It's appalling, unacceptable, and it's time for them to answer to the public.
Investigations have peeled back layers of regulatory capture, where oversight is a farce, and Boeing's interests can dictate the FAA's actions. The cozy relationship between Boeing and the FAA is a scandal in broad daylight and this charade of safety must end now.
We cannot stand idly by as Boeing plays Russian roulette with passenger lives. Tell the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation to drag Boeing executives into the spotlight and hold them accountable for their dangerous game.
Boeing has already admitted to defrauding the FAA by concealing safety problems with the 737 MAX. This led to a deferred prosecution agreement, with Boeing agreeing to pay over $2.5 billion in fines and compensation.
It’s clear that the time for whispered concerns and behind-the-scenes fixes is over. We must demand public hearings to expose Boeing's malpractices and force a seismic shift in their approach to safety.
Anything less is an insult to every passenger and crew member who trusts their lives to what should be the gold standard of aviation safety.
Public hearings are the only way to force Boeing to overhaul its culture of negligence and address the root causes of its growing safety lapses.
Demand that the Senate Committee take immediate action to safeguard our skies and ensure that profit never again outweighs people's lives in Boeing's boardroom.
Together, we can restore safety and integrity to our skies.
