CWA Southern CA Council Endorses Anthony Portantino for Congress
Communications Workers of America Southern California Council,
with 12 Locals in Los Angeles and six more in the surrounding counties, chooses Anthony Portantino for Congress
(LOS ANGELES, CA) The Communications Workers of America Southern California Council today announced its endorsement of Anthony Portantino for Congress.
“Anthony Portantino is one of California’s most effective leaders and a champion for CWA, our members and organized labor,” said Marisa Remski, President, CWA Local 9003. “Anthony has stood with us on the picket line, challenged employers and even led the fight to provide unemployment to striking workers. CWA Southern District Council and its locals are proud to endorse Anthony Portantino for Congress.”
Portantino, who lives in Burbank and is the State Senator who represents a significant portion of the 30th Congressional District, was thrilled to learn of the endorsement: “I’m excited and honored to have earned the support from the Communications Workers of America. CWA represents a broad coalition of women and men who touch our lives in many ways. I look forward to the opportunity to partner with CWA on enhancing worker protections if I’m blessed to win this great district.”
