Friend—President’s Day isn’t very much fun this year.
Here in LA it’s rainy and cold. Our two likely candidates for President are both out of touch and staunch supporters Israel’s genocide in Gaza. Joe Biden will be the only choice for Democrats in the general election, and he doesn’t even support universal healthcare.
That’s why we need to elect members of Congress who will push him to enact real change. If we have a strong, vocal progressive bloc, we can get things done and be the pivotal votes on issues of healthcare, the environment, war, and reproductive rights.
Tomorrow marks just two weeks until our primary election. Momentum is building and progressives in LA know I’m the candidate who will have their back, having never taken corporate money and never will. Even one of my main opponents, Sen. Anthony Portantino, called me one of the “the most earnest and energetic of my opponents.”
People are voting now—can you chip in so we can reach them again before they turn in their ballots?

In 2022 I came in 2nd out of 9 candidates, just behind the 22-year incumbent. In the general election I received over 60,000 votes—more than many elected members of Congress and more than enough to send me into the general election again this year if I earn that many again.
I can get there, but only with your support. With all my heart, I thank you on behalf of this grassroots, people-over-profits campaign.
