Hi John,

I recently wrote to you about Shell’s intimidation lawsuit against us. It’s their latest attempt at silencing us, so they can continue destroying the planet for profit.

I’ve been overwhelmed by the response from our supporters. We will continue fighting knowing our supporters are with us. But we are still short of our £1 million target – will you please donate to our Stop Shell Appeal today? Anything you can give will help us continue to stand up to oil giants like Shell who are trashing the climate.

Yes, I’ll help fund the fight against Big Oil: [link removed]

If you missed it, here’s my last email exposing the history of Shell’s climate crimes:

Hi John,

Shell has been guilty of terrible crimes against people and our planet for years. Guilty of choking our air and polluting our oceans. Guilty of human rights abuses. And guilty of fuelling climate breakdown in their greedy pursuit of profit.

Now we need you, for one of the biggest legal fights in our history – to defeat Shell’s desperate multimillion-dollar intimidation lawsuit against us. We refuse to be silenced by oil giants who are carelessly destroying our planet. If you agree, then please will you donate to our STOP SHELL APPEAL?

We won’t stop until Shell stops drilling and starts paying for the climate destruction they’ve caused.

Thanks to supporters like you, we’re ready to fight their climate crimes every step of the way. From exposing Shell’s greenwashing to stopping them drilling the Arctic for oil, Shell have a history of wrecking the climate to line their pockets. But we have won against them before and we can win again.

- 1995 - Greenpeace stopped Shell from dumping their Brent Spar oil installation in the sea
- 2008 - Shell caused devastating oil spills
- 2015 - Greenpeace stopped Shell from drilling in the Arctic
- 2023 - Shell sued Greenpeace for $1.7 million
- 2024 - Greenpeace’s STOP SHELL APPEAL – will you join us?

This is a historic battle.

If Shell wins, it would send a chilling effect through the climate movement and be a huge blow to anyone trying to stand up against Big Oil.

If we win, it will show oil giants the world over that they can’t intimidate us into silence. We won’t stop campaigning until they stop drilling and pay for the climate destruction they’ve caused.

If you haven’t yet, please give to the STOP SHELL APPEAL now. Together we can beat them and keep fighting for a safer, more peaceful future. It only takes 2 minutes:

Thank you in advance for your support – it’s a great motivation to me and the team knowing we have your support, and that we’re taking on Shell together.
