Happy Presidents’ Day, John!
This Presidents’ Day, I wanted to take some time to thank President Joe Biden for his outstanding service to our country and focus on being a president for all Americans.
I began my journey in the Senate as a young intern in 1989, working for Delaware's Democratic senator at the time: Joe Biden. Since then, I've grown under his leadership and mentorship. Today, I'm proud to call him my friend and honored to serve in the very Senate seat he held for 36 years.
I know I'm not the only Delawarean who watched with great pride as Joe Biden became vice President and then President. I've seen up close the way he fights every day for American families, and I've been honored to work alongside his administration in helping our country make progress. I look forward to another four years of his leadership.
