Dear A.,

Last night, CBS’s 60 Minutes featured the U.S. Navy’s fight against the Houthis to protect U.S. national security interests and allies, and to preserve maritime freedom in the Red Sea.

When asked if the Houthis would be able to carry out their attacks without Iranian support,

Navy Vice Admiral Brad Cooper responded with a firm “No.” Cooper added, “the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps is inside Yemen, and they are serving side by side with the Houthis, advising them and providing target information.”

As the Iranian regime and its terrorist proxies continue to operate across the region and target American troops, Israel, and other U.S. interests, Congress must ensure our ally has the resources it needs to protect its families and win this war.

Hamas Admits Losses; Rafah Operation to Proceed

For the first time,

Hamas acknowledged that at least 6,000 of its terrorists have been killed in combat. While this figure its less than the Israeli estimate, it’s a recognition that its forces have been significantly diminished in the war.

Israel estimates that nearly three-quarters of Hamas’ 40,000 operatives have been killed or severely wounded. However, approximately 10,000 Hamas fighters remain in Rafah, the last major zone the IDF has to clear.

“Those who want to prevent us from operating in Rafah are essentially telling us: ‘Lose the war.’ I won’t let that happen,” said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu yesterday. “We won’t capitulate to any pressure.”

The Prime Minister added, “I agree with President Biden that we need to do everything in our power to get civilians out of harm's way as we complete the job.

IDF Delivers Aid to Nasser Hospital

Hamas operatives

disguised themselves as medical professionals while operating from the Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis. Dozens of terrorists have been killed and captured as the IDF pressed into the medical facility to root out Hamas and follow through on reports that hostages had been kept there.

While the operation continues,

the hospital remains functional and Israel continues to provide fuel and supplies to help ensure patients have the care they need. The IDF provided a replacement generator, fuel, medicine, water, and food to the facility.

New York Times Exposes Iran Sanctions Loophole

The New York Times

exposed “a significant gap in U.S. oversight” of sanctions that have allowed billions in oil revenue to flow to the regime. The Times reports that many of the tankers used an American insurance company, American Club, to transport oil around the world – including to China “which has tripled its imports of Iranian oil over the past two years.”
