Friends -

With only 16 days until the election voters are making their voices heard throughout our region!

From the beginning of our journey together, I have been humbled by the outpouring of support we have received from grassroots leaders across our region. You are the fuel that has powered this campaign we have already achieved so much together!

For nearly a year, I’ve used this newsletter to share stories about my record and vision for achieving real results for real people. So this week, I’m changing it up a bit and sharing excerpts from samples of letters community voters I’ve met on the campaign trail that have written to local newspapers throughout the region.

But before I get to the kind words voters are sharing, I am excited two new additions to #TeamCabaldon: Safer California and the Solano County Black Chamber of Commerce!

Thank you for putting your trust in me. We are almost there!

In Solidarity,

Christopher Cabaldon

Candidate for State Senate District 3

** Safer CA Joins Team Cabaldon!
------------------------------------------------------------

This week, we were incredibly proud to announce that Safer California PAC has thrown their support behind our campaign!

Safer California is committed to electing legislative champions that believe that gun safety saves lives. Every year, we are confronted with repeated episodes of tragic and preventable gun violence - a terrible fact that is often pushed aside because of the seeming inability for us to make a progress on this issue. But that is an unacceptable to response to one of the greatest challenges of our time.

We need champions that put community first and will work to turn the tide on gun violence. In the State Senate, I will be that voice.

** Solano County Black Chamber of Commerce PAC Endorses!
------------------------------------------------------------

I am exited to announce the Solano County Black Chamber PAC has thrown their full support behind my candidacy!

The Solano County Black Chamber of Commerce is the largest Chamber in Solano County and was created to support, uplift and build black businesses within the black community. As we look to push our region’s economy to new heights, we must make inclusive economic development a priority so that all families have an opportunity to thrive.

With this endorsement, Team Cabaldon continues a clean sweep of every Chamber of Commerce that has endorsed in this Senate Race!

** St. Helena Mayor Paul Dohring Writes in the Napa Valley Register & St. Helena Star
------------------------------------------------------------

“After a wide-ranging conversation, where I pressed Christopher on a variety of issues, I came away deeply impressed. I discovered a man with the ability to engage in long-term thinking, a man with a curious mind, a man willing to listen and not just be heard, a man who is both humble and tenacious. And one comment he made still rings true: “The best way to strengthen our democracy is for government to do what it says it is going to do, not just with more bans and mandates but getting the job done.”

In the world of politics, where experience, authenticity and a commitment to public service often take a back seat to rhetoric or talking points, Christopher has demonstrated that he is the best choice to represent us in Sacramento. Christopher Cabaldon is a confident and competent leader of the highest caliber.

Christopher understands the daunting challenges we face, and he is duty-bound to work hard on our behalf. He is an experienced leader who shows up, listens, and puts his head down to get the job done. Christopher Cabaldon is by far our best choice for state Senate.”

** Vallejo’s Ann Carr Writes in the Vacaville Reporter
------------------------------------------------------------

“For state Senate District 3, Christopher Cabaldon is far and away the most qualified candidate. He has the experience to hit the ground running; he’s already skilled in change-making at the local, regional, state and even national level.

Cabaldon has so much experience that it’s difficult to summarize. But a measure of his effectiveness is revealed by the big-money special interests who oppose him. So far they have amassed $342,500 to print vicious and untrue direct mail hit pieces, apparently trying to knock Cabaldon out in the March 5 primary.

Could this big money be aligned with the California Forever proposal? Cabaldon has taken a clear stand against the billionaires’ land grab, and some people are very scared! The smear campaign reflects just how good Cabaldon would be.

If you want a state Senator who will work for average people, not just billionaires and special interests, join me in voting for Cabaldon in the primary, now.”

** Suisun City’s Tim Knox writes in Fairfield Daily Republic
------------------------------------------------------------

“Christopher's raising the alarm on Flannery Associates & California Forever when testifying before the Senate Agriculture Committee should earn him the vote of all those concerned with the proposal to build a city on Solano's most valuable farmland, whether those concerns be about traffic, water rights, or the security of Travis Air Force Base.

During the candidate forum in Benicia, Christopher's opponents complained about the thankless role of an elected official; in contrast, Christopher expressed appreciation to constituents for their support and the valued work we can accomplish together.

Rarely will you find the most brilliant and humble person in the room to be the same person, yet we have Christopher Cabaldon – please join me in supporting Christopher Cabaldon as our next State Senator.”

** Benicia’s Kathy Kerridge Writes in the San Jose Mercury News & East Bay Times
------------------------------------------------------------

My vote is going to Christopher Cabaldon for state Senate District 3. Cabaldon is the only candidate endorsed by Planned Parenthood, which vetted all candidates and chose the best for reproductive health care. All the grassroots Democratic clubs in this district that have done endorsements have endorsed Cabaldon.

I have seen all three candidates debate several times now. Cabaldon’s knowledge and experience shine through. He has been appointed to various boards by President Obama and five different California governors.

He is a fierce advocate for education, the environment and civil rights. He is creative, smart and someone who gets things done. He deserves your vote.”

** Benicia’s Andrew Smith Writes in East Bay Times
------------------------------------------------------------

“What makes Cabaldon an impressive candidate is his history of being the longest-serving mayor of West Sacramento. During his tenure many innovative initiatives were started, including guaranteed universal access to preschool, urban farms, free college for local students and sustainable land use.” — Andrew Smith, Benicia

** Brentwood’s Connie Hoban and Mona Whitney Jacoves Write San Jose Mercury News
------------------------------------------------------------

“He has actively pursued an agenda to address homelessness and also shares our concerns about the threat of climate change.

He is a sta ([link removed]) unch advocate for people of all backgrounds and is particularly a strong supporter of women’s reproductive rights, as evidenced by his support of various organizations, including Planned Parenthood Northern California Action Fund.

Please vote for Christopher Cabaldon for State Senate on March 5.”
