Have You Set Your Data Goal for the Year?
A data goal can be collecting a new data point, reviewing data trends every few weeks or sharing your data appropriately with a stakeholder (i.e., principal, teacher, or school board administrator). If you haven't developed a goal there are still a few months left in the school year. Start now!
Emotion Management K-6: Recognize the Significance of Stress on Children
This webinar is available in the NASN Learning Center and presents an interdisciplinary approach to managing somatization in our schools. Given the attention of emotional health in children leading to academic success and the importance of attending to the whole child, this program has been developed to increase K-6 students’ abilities to cope with school stress in healthy and effective ways.
The participant will leave with a better understanding of the frequent flyer, and tools to utilize in their health suites to assist the students they serve.

Keep Children Healthy While Schools are Closed

CDC has released new guidance on keeping children healthy while schools are closed. The guidance includes steps to protect children from getting sick, information about social activities while schools are closed, and recommendations to help children continue learning.

National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week is Next Week
The National Institute on Drug Abuse’s (NIDA) National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week® will be held March 30-April 5, 2020. This year is the 10th anniversary of the annual health observance that connects teens with experts to SHATTER THE MYTHS® about drugs, alcohol, and addiction.

In lieu of in-person events and activities, NIDA is providing toolkits and activity ideas, such as the National Drug & Alcohol IQ Challenge, to facilitate virtual participation.

NASN2020 Registration Cancellation Policy Changed
