It’s my hope that you and your family are safe and healthy during this difficult time, and that you have the financial resources to continue staying home and following social distancing directives. Unfortunately, many of our friends and neighbors are being negatively impacted not just by the health effects of COVID-19, but by the financial pain this crisis is inflicting. 

From restaurant workers to retail to a host of other affected industries, millions of Americans are out of work due to the COVID-19/Coronavirus pandemic. While there is a clear need for federal government assistance to help working families weather this storm, Governor Phil Murphy and his team are taking decisive action of their own. The Murphy administration this week launched a new COVID-19 Jobs Portal, with job listings from hundreds of companies all in one place.

While many businesses must remain closed to stop the spread of the virus, others that are providing essential services are in need of new employees to meet the current demand. This is an opportunity for residents who need help to pay their bills and put food on the table to earn money while helping provide the essential services we need during this crisis.
