Where we stand now
UNICEF USA
Friend, these past few weeks have been scary for us all. Whatever you're going through, you're not alone. Maintaining a sense of community, practicing kindness and serving others in need can help us all feel more connected and strong.

At UNICEF, we're protecting health care workers on the front lines so they can continue caring for the sick. But we're dealing with a global shortage of personal protective equipment, with demand increasing 1,000 to 2,000 fold in the past week. We need to raise $379,000 in the next week to keep up with the growing demand for protective gear.

It's an extraordinary request, but we're in a critical period where every action taken could save countless lives. If you're able, start a monthly gift immediately to support UNICEF's ongoing response to global health emergencies >>
Here's how we're combating the global shortage of protective gear:
1) Kicking production into overdrive. Our warehouse in Copenhagen is operating 7 days a week to produce emergency kits and other essential supplies. 2) Mobilizing global suppliers. Working with 1,000 suppliers, UNICEF has procured 7.4 million surgical masks, 4 million respirators, 4 million surgical gowns and coveralls and 11,600 infrared thermometers. 3) Increasing our pipeline. Over the last two weeks, we've increased our pipeline of supplies from thousands of units to millions, to be delivered where they're needed most.
