Holding The Biden Administration Accountable

This week, I led the House Financial Services Committee in a hearing with Treasury Department officials from the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) and the Office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence (TFI).

Instead of adhering to the bipartisan agreement in the Corporate Transparency Act, the Biden Administration has transformed what was a simple and direct program into Frankenstein’s monster of complexity. When Congress gives agencies an inch, they don’t get to take a mile.

Additionally, according to reports, FinCEN has been targeting law-abiding Americans for holding different political views from the White House. This is unacceptable and we will hold them accountable.

Accountability for Mayorkas 

The Biden Administration has presided over an unprecedented disaster at our southern border. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas has failed to uphold the law and lied to the American people. This week, House Republicans took another step to hold him accountable.
