This has been a long week on non-stop news and it’s been hard to follow everything. 

I wanted to share what’s going on with our campaign. Today at 12:30 CT, I will be going live to give an update on our campaign — where we are, what we are doing, and how you can help. 

Our campaign will be focusing on working with the great organizations of our district to get people the resources they need. We are working with folks who are devising plans to take care of the elders in each neighborhood, arranging to pick up groceries for immunocompromised people, boosting food banks and other essential community resources.
 

Our first little effort was over the weekend, in Brenham. We were able to raise some funds to boost their efforts — and thanks to over 20 donors, today we have a check for $1105, for the Bread Pantry of Washington County. Thanks to everyone who boosted that effort.

We’ve also been working on expanding access to vote by mail and other projects to protect our democracy. We’ll be discussing all this and any questions you have.
