Against the backdrop of global upheaval, the challenges facing the 2020 election landscape continue to change. Now more than ever, with so much at stake, everyone should be confident that their vote counts.
Unfortunately, there are increasing threats to the American public's confidence that our elections are accurate and fair. In addition to recent concerns for public health and safety, we continue to hear evidence of disinformation and election interference. With each new story, more citizens begin to question the institutions essential to the functioning of our democracy.
At CDT, we know that our democracy and elections are under attack, but believe they can be protected - we just have to put in the work.
Around the world, we know that times are tough. If you are in a position to help us do that work, we hope you will consider donating to CDT. This month, ([link removed]) your contribution will help put democracy and individual rights at the center of the digital revolution, protecting elections across the country. ([link removed])
With your help, CDT is working hard to train election officials on how best to protect the integrity of our elections and ensure accurate results. We are working with platforms to minimize disinformation and to stop bad actors from suppressing voter turnout. We need your help to ensure this work continues.
Support CDT today in honor of Election Security Month. ([link removed]) Use your voice to share fact-based information and point out disinformation when you see it. Vote. Help protect our democracy.
With thanks,
