We hope you are all well?and staying healthy in these uncertain times. As much as we had hoped Spring would bring happy hours, fun events, and exciting election year activities, we will have to hold off on that for now. As YRs we are committed to act responsibly and will do our best to serve our organizational needs while?making everybody's safety and wellbeing a priority.
In light of the developments in Minnesota and nationwide, the MN YR Executive Board has made the following decisions on how we will operate in the next weeks/months.
Events, conventions & happy hours
- It goes?without saying that we will not schedule any events for the time being. We will await developments in the next weeks/months and once it is determined as safe and responsible we will be excited to see you all again!
Lincoln Reagan Gala
- Some of you have expressed interest in attending the Lincoln Reagan Gala with the MN YRs. Once this event is rescheduled, we will let you know and will look forward to filling our table(s).?(Those that have already purchased tickets will receive a full refund should they decide not to attend - or in case the event is completely cancelled)?
Our annual MN YR State Convention
- We had planned on holding our annual YR State Convention on May 1st, 2020. Given current developments, we do not expect this to happen. However, should we be able to SAFELY hold the convention in May, we will let you know and make registration available. In case an in-person convention is not possible, the board will decide if/how a virtual convention is feasible or if we choose to wait until later in the year to convene.
MN YR Board elections
- As our Executive Board is elected annually, the term for the current board is about to expire. Under the given circumstances, we have decided - in accordance with our constitution - to extend the term of the currently elected Board until we can hold elections.?
