Welcome back to Team Elise's weekly newsletter! We send a weekly note to
Elise's supporters to update you on what she's working on in Capitol Hill and
across NY-21!


Here are a few top Team Elise updates and stories we have been tracking for
the past week!


Elise files complaint against NY Attorney General Tish James


This week, Elise filed a bar complaint against New York Attorney General
Letitia James for violating the Rules of Professional Conduct by conducting a
biased investigation and prosecution of President Trump and by attacking
President Trump through extrajudicial statements during a trial. Elise stated –


“As a Representative of New York committed to upholding the integrity of our
legal system, I have found New York Attorney General Letitia James’ handling of
the investigation and trial of President Donald Trump nothing short of
shameful. It is evident that Attorney General James violated fundamental
principles of fairness and impartiality by engaging in a relentless lawfare
campaign against President Trump, marked by over 50 prejudicial comments on
social media during just the first five weeks of the trial. It’s been her
explicit mission since she announced her run for office to go after President
Trump. Such behavior not only undermines the integrity of the legal process but
also violates the Rules of Professional Conduct to which James, as a licensed
attorney, is bound.


While all Americans possess the right to express their opinions on matters of
public interest, attorneys–particularly state attorneys general–are held to a
higher standard due to their unique role as officers of the court. Her conduct
not only constitutes a breach of her professional responsibilities but also
risks irreparable harm to the public’s already eroding trust in our legal
institutions. I urge the Attorney Grievance Committee to immediately conduct a
thorough investigation and take appropriate disciplinary action, including the
immediate interim suspension, disbarment, or suspension of Attorney General
James, to uphold the integrity of our legal profession and ensure justice is
served impartially.”

Elise votes to impeach Alejandro Mayorkas over the open border


This week Elise led the charge and voted to impeach the derelict Secretary of
Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas. Elise stated –


“House Republicans delivered accountability for the American people today when
we impeached Alejandro Mayorkas for his willful and systematic refusal to
comply with federal immigration laws and his breach of public trust. His
impeachment should send a clear message to the Biden Administration: it’s time
to do your constitutional duty and secure our nation’s borders. Under
Mayorkas’s failed leadership, every state is a border state due to Joe Biden
and Mayorkas' incompetence and failed policies.”


Elise’s South Carolina Swing in Support of President Trump


Over the weekend, Elise joined Congressman Joe Wilson in the Midlands of South
Carolina. Elise attended several grassroots events to push the voters of South
Carolina out to the polls for President Trump ahead of the nearing Primary
election.

Elise Releases Statement on Uncovered Hamas Data Center at UNRWA Headquarters
in Gaza


On Saturday, reports surfaced that a subterranean data center belonging to
Hamas had been discovered under the United Nations Relief and Works Agency's
(UNRWA) headquarters in the Gaza Strip. Elise stated –


"Joe Biden chose to reverse President Trump’s decision to cut off U.S.
taxpayer dollars to UNRWA and we are once again seeing the devastating
consequences of this horrific decision. Iranian-backed Hamas terrorists built
an entire underground command center directly below UNRWA’s headquarters in
Gaza. There is no way that UNRWA did not know about these Hamas tunnels, and
they must be held accountable for their role in aiding Hamas in carrying out
the barbaric October 7th terrorist attack against Israel. The Biden
Administration must permanently cut off all U.S. funding to UNRWA, revoke
UNRWA’s tax exempt status, and immediately conduct rigorous oversight of all
U.S. money being sent to the UN."
