A Super Bowl Parade should be a place for celebration and community, not a place of blood and destruction. But this week, one person was killed and over 20 more were injured in a shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl victory parade. What could be more American than that?

It’s because of the NRA’s control of Republican politicians that we can’t pass common sense gun reform measures like an assault weapons ban. Their “thoughts and prayers” following every mass shooting is craven and cowardly.
