I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your continued support of my campaign for Congress.
We just celebrated love this week for Valentine’s Day, but with the circus in Washington and CPAC coming up, it seems like hate is all national Republicans want to share.
Well I’m not about that. Because I love getting across our district, meeting each of you – even those who don’t agree with me – and talking out how we can help MI-10.
I will continue hitting the ground to deliver the change we deserve, and I hope I get the chance to see you too, but until then, here are a few highlights from the campaign trail.
I got to be alongside my friend Mai Xiong when she won her primary to get her one step closer to Lansing! Mai is an inspiration and her story is the embodiment of the American Dream. I cannot think of anyone better to represent us in Lansing, and with amazing candidates like her I know we’ll take back the majority in the State House – just like the House of Representatives!
I had a night out with the Michigan Families for Fair Care! Our district and our state deserve so much better than empty promises with MAGA extremist results. Let’s hold our representatives accountable – and we should start in MI-10.
I enjoyed being interviewed on MEA-TV! The Chaldean community is a wonderful part of our vibrant community, and we must ensure they and all other ethnic and religious groups in our area get the fair representation, trust and support they deserve.
I joined friends in the community to write postcards to our great State Reps and State Senators who passed critical legislation this past year! It’s amazing what a Democratic majority can do when not forced into standoffs with MAGA who don’t want to get real things done – and we’re only four seats away in Washington.
And I joined State Senator Kevin Hertel, State Rep Denise Mentzer, and the Michigan League of Conservation Voters for a Clean Energy Town Hall in our district! It is great to hear that Michigan is becoming a leader in this, and it’s imperative that we work towards better and more reliable energy sources for our environment and our wallets.
I appreciate all of the love everyone has shown our campaign everywhere we’ve gone. But with MAGA dark-money events coming up in Washington, we’ll need more than love to get over the finish line in November.
