John, I’ll keep this one quick because I’m between events—I just got a text from my finance director and we need to raise about another $9,000 before our final reporting deadline of the campaign at midnight tonight in order to make sure we can cover the minimum we need to finish out the primary.
That’s a big number, but sometimes that’s how things go in politics. Like I’ve said before, all our planning is done based on making assumptions about how the future will go—and sometimes those assumptions don’t come through.
Now, normally, I’d just double down on my rolodex and dial to make up the gap, but with early voting underway, I’ve actually got a pretty packed schedule this weekend.
Between Democratic Party local organizing meetings and get-out-the-vote rallies, I’m going to be bouncing back and forth across Mecklenburg County all day, which means I really need you to step up.
We’ve got a $9,000 fundraising gap to make up before midnight tonight—and that’s a big number, but I know we can hit it, because I have you and supporters like you standing with me. In fact, if everyone who opens this email gave
just $10 today, we would absolutely smash that goal to pieces.
So with the clock ticking, will you chip in and help us meet our goal so that we can finish out the primary with the momentum we need to win?
