Dear Friend,
I’m Dr. André Gvozden, a pediatrician from Maryland and a Project HOPE volunteer. When I deploy as a first responder, I’m one of the people requesting and receiving urgent medical supplies from Project HOPE. When you and other supporters add a personalized message to those shipments… I can’t tell you how much it lifts our spirits – especially now during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Recently, I deployed to Mozambique where a hurricane destroyed entire villages and left families struggling to recover. The spread of the coronavirus is causing the same chaos and dire need of supplies across the world. In the midst of this emergency, it means so much to health care workers to know that there are people like you at home keeping them in their thoughts and prayers.
I’m personally asking you to send a quick note to our teams today. When the person on the other end – a health care worker like me – sees your note, they will know how much you care and appreciate their compassion and sacrifice.
During my last deployment, people were desperate, lost, disoriented, confused, but they saw that beyond delivering the much-needed medical help, we were delivering HOPE for the future and for a better life. I know that sounds corny, but it’s true. It was just comforting to know that there are people like you who truly care.
Your support makes its way to villages just like that one I visited in Mozambique. It reaches families who have lost their homes in disasters or cannot afford their child’s insulin. It trains and supplies overwhelmed health workers fighting to save the lives of their friends and neighbors.
Make a gift today along with your note to have the biggest impact – and send HOPE and health around the world.
Yours Sincerely,
Dr. André Gvozden
Pediatrician and Project HOPE Volunteer
