John – You may not have heard about this, because the media doesn’t talk about it much, but the bipartisan infrastructure bill that passed Congress back when Democrats held the majority earmarked over a BILLION dollars in infrastructure spending for Idaho.

This is HUGE for our state. Not only does it mean finally fixing so many of our crumbling roads and bridges, it’s also bringing jobs and boosting our local economy.

Of course, our congressman wants the credit for all this good news. That’s why he recently circulated an official letter bragging about bringing federal funding home to the district.

There’s just one problem – Mike Simpson voted AGAINST every penny of this funding.

So thank you, President Biden, and thank you to my Democratic colleagues who got this done. I’m grateful that you were there for the people of my beautiful state even though my representative was NOT.

This is why I’m running for Congress. To fight for the resources that our communities need so that everyone gets the chance to thrive.

Mike Simpson knows that our state desperately needs these investments, which is why he wants the credit. But the cold fact is that if this bill came up while Republicans controlled the House majority (as they do now), Idaho would never see a dime of this.
