[[link removed]] Artificial vs. Natural Turf: Organically-Managed Grass Is the Healthier Option

Who would have known there’d be choices to make when it comes to the grass you sit on. Not to mention, the grass your kids tumble around in at the local park and school playground. It’s yet another area where your awareness is called upon. Follow the research to learn and make informed decisions about artificial turf, conventionally-treated grass, and soil-rich, organically-managed grass.

[[link removed]] A Beginner’s Reference to Understanding and Restoring Balance to Your Lymphatic System

Your lymphatic system is critical in maintaining your health. It acts as a “filtration system,” moving out bacteria, fungi, and viruses. It also significantly influence on the level of your immunity—however weak or strong. Yet this structure of biology and function of physiology often takes a back seat to other systems: digestive, cardiovascular (of which the lymphatic system is actually a part of), and reproductive.

During the first half of February, AVFCA brought awareness to specific observance days by sharing our original stories that matched these themes:

National Freedom Day : “Unsung Heroes: How These Activists Fought for Vaccine Choice and Transparency in California”

Feet on the ground; no holds barred. Honor is given to these folks who stood up and spoke up for freedom, informed consent, undeniable transparency, and your right to choose what’s best for you. While many people advocate behind computer screens and on the telephone (helpful and necessary), there are those who go the extra miles, and carry the torches across the finish lines. American Painters Day : “House Painting with VOCs: A Simple Breakdown of Volatile Organic Compounds”

VOCs—volatile organic compounds—to the tune of propane, pentane, formaldehyde, benzene, and more. These man-made chemicals are dangerous, and linger in the air long after the paint is slapped onto the walls of your home. Health risks include but are not limited to cancer, liver and kidney damage, and injury to your nervous system. Did you know you can choose “zero VOC” paints and other applicants? Knowledge is golden. [link removed] [[link removed]]

National Toothache Day : “Root Canals: The Dangers of Leaving Dead Organs in Your Body”

The dental industry is the only branch of medicine that leaves a dead organ in your body. Impossible to clean thoroughly, the tooth that is left in your mouth after the pulp is removed and the tooth is sealed, will likely become infected. This is a disaster because 1: You probably won’t know it, and 2: It can cause troublesome symptoms and ill health throughout your body. It’s important to know your alternatives.
