Never did I imagine that I would become the right-wing’s favorite punching
bag for insults and attacks. Never.
But if investigating Donald Trump and holding him accountable for his
attempts to overturn the election and incite an insurrection makes me a
“Wild-eyed conspiracy nut,” as Tucker Carlson called me, so be it.
If Roger Stone wants to call me a congenital liar and despicable huckster,
so be it (a pretty rich insult coming from him if I do say so myself).
And if Donald Trump himself wants to call me, as he did in all caps on his
social media, “SLIMEBALL ADAM ‘SHIFTY’ SCHIFF, ONE OF THE TRUE LOWLIFES IN
THE HISTORY OF POLITICS IN AMERICA” for holding him to account over and
over and over again, so be it.
They are going after me because they know I am effective. Those that don’t
concern them — they ignore. The last place Roger Stone or Donald Trump
want me to be is in the United States Senate — because they know I will
continue to hold their feet to the fire.
