BREAKING NEWS:
Major Gun Violence Prevention Legislation Passes in Virginia Senate and House of Delegates
John,
We have some promising news coming out of Richmond – a number of gun violence prevention bills have advanced, including one that would ban assault-style weapons and one that would require safer storage of firearms.
This is a direct result of our work to elect Democratic majorities in the Virginia Senate and House of Delegates. As Governor, I promise to continue this focus on reducing gun violence and keeping our families, children, and law enforcement safe.
As a mom of three school-aged children, I know the feeling of worrying about the safety of our kids as they board the bus — and I know the fear that comes with each active-shooter drill. But most importantly, I’ve promised parents who have lost children to gun violence that I will work tirelessly in their children’s honor to pass meaningful legislation and save lives, and those are promises I intend to keep.
It is a long road to the 2025 Governor’s election, but will you join me now and support my campaign with a contribution? I am working to build a strong foundation of support, and I need your help.
