Team, our democracy is on a tightrope.

The Bipartisan Policy Center recently released a poll showing 82% of voters are worried about the state of our democracy.

That’s not all: Following the January 6 insurrection, another poll found that 83% of Americans are worried about further political violence.

This is a concerning statistic — and one that transcends party lines. January 6 revealed that we cannot be complacent in protecting our democracy.

Americans should be able to trust their leaders to uphold our democratic values. That’s the bare minimum. We need leaders who have the courage to defend our democracy.

For Jason, this fight is personal. In the Army, he saw countries that struggled to enforce the rule of law, due process, and individual rights.
