# [#]Extreme Texas Republicans led by Greg Abbott have once again failed the people they were elected to serve. Their actions have left Texas families and children to suffer, all while they prioritize political stunts over genuine leadership.

First, it was reported that state employees failed to answer more than 173,000 calls to a state abuse hotline, leaving vulnerable Texas children without the help and support they so desperately need.

Then, Abbott callously opted out of a federal program that would have provided $350 million for a summer food program for children, claiming the state had a lack of resources to maintain the program — at the same time, he has continued to pour a staggering $10 BILLION into Operation Lone Star, a purely political endeavor.
