I want to thank everyone for their kind birthday wishes last week – it meant the world to me. I’m so proud to serve our state of neighbors in Congress. I’m also excited to now officially be eligible for Social Security! As always, keep reading for updates from this week. | Investing in Delaware’s Commercial Aviation Infrastructure | This week, along with Governor Carney, Senator Carper, and Senator Coons, I was proud to announce a brand-new $5.6 million investment in the Wilmington Airport from the Federal Aviation Administration. This funding comes directly from the historic Bipartisan Infrastructure law, legislation I proudly championed in Congress. The grant will allow the airport to not only modernize and expand capacity but will also create good-paying jobs for Delawareans. As Delaware’s former Secretary of Labor and a proud union supporter, it’s important to me to not only thank federal workers for their public service but that Congress works together to ensure that they receive the respect and support they need to serve the American people and serve us well. | Above: Rep. This week, I was especially proud to meet with advocates from the Alliance for Childhood Cancer including the B+ Foundation’s Joe McDonough and a young cancer survivor named Emily. I am in awe of her ability to use her voice for change at such a young age. Emily is a living example of what’s possible if we continue to work together for a cure. I will continue the fight here in Congress to pass policies that can help us end childhood cancer as we know it. | Above: Rep. This week, they came to my office to talk about how to keep our community health centers funded so that we can keep our communities healthy. I was humbled because they also presented me with the National Association of Community Health Centers’ 2024 Distinguished Community Health Center Champion Award! | 🚨Opportunities for Delaware’s Young People Calling All Delaware High School Marching Bands!
