John,

It’s starting to look like an election may be on the horizon.

Leading up to the federal budget being released in early March, NDP leader, Jagmeet Singh, has been making veiled threats to his coalition partners, the Liberals.

NDP’s Singh threatens ‘consequences’ if Liberals do not meet pharmacare deadline

Global News | Feb 13, 2024

Singh is implying that the “supply-and-confidence” agreement between the two parties could be cancelled if his demands aren’t met.

This agreement is the only keeping the Liberals in power, and without the support of the NDP, the government could fall at any time.

Furthermore, if the NDP is unhappy that their demands are not being met, they could vote against the budget next month.

As the budget is always considered a confidence motion, this would send us to a general election as soon as April!

We need to be ready for an election whenever one might be called.

Through the generosity of our supporters and diligent saving, we have already accrued our biggest war chest ever.

We have more money in the bank now than we ever spent on an election campaign.

But we can’t take our foot off the gas now!

We still don’t have nearly enough to compete with the established parties — the Liberals and Conservatives spent 20 times more than us in the last two elections!

Chip in today to help us continue to grow our election readiness fund! <[link removed]>

And that doesn’t even account for the other disadvantages we face as a party.

I’m sure I don’t have to tell you that the bought-and-paid-for mainstream media has us blacklisted.

They ignore us as much as possible.

They learned their mistakes from Donald Trump. They know that our ideas are popular and we will grow rapidly if they give us even negative coverage.

Our only option is to go directly to voters through expensive ad campaigns and consistent door-knocking.

Help us afford a national advertising campaign and prepare for the prospect of a snap-election with a $20 donation today! <[link removed]>

Thanks a lot,

-Max
