Dear John,

You and your fellow NumbersUSA members played a critical role last week in the defensive win against the disastrous Senate immigration bill (S.B.3714) that would have increased legal immigration by over 50,000 more green cards annually over the next five years. Not only would this bill fail to secure the border, but it also would have made it easier for an unlimited number of people to continue crossing illegally.

Thank you for your partnership in activism and support.

I now have something for you. To ensure we are caring for the needs of our existing NumbersUSA members, I'm excited to establish a Member-facing organization called "Development" and introduce three outstanding team leaders focused not on the Hill or the States or the Environment, but on engaging and working with you. Please meet:

Steve FirestoneSteve Firestone (cell: 919.427.8392) recently joined NumbersUSA as Interim Chief Development Officer after more than 40 years of C-Suite experience. Steve is applying his business and organizational expertise to optimize efforts across NumbersUSA to drive marketing and donor engagement. Steve recently became a grandfather and resides outside of Charleston, SC.
Courtney TrollingerCourtney Trollinger (cell: 703.336.9154) is our brand new Vice President of Development and will assist me to maximize and steward our partnerships with donors like you. She joins NumbersUSA from the Leadership Institute in Arlington, VA, and has spent the past 18 years fundraising and building relationships in the non-profit advocacy sector. Courtney and her husband, Jason, live in Northern Virginia with their three children.

Christy ShawChristy Shaw (cell: 304.203.8727) has been a contributor to the NumbersUSA team in a variety of positions for the past five and a half years, ranging from content creation and media curation with the Media Standards Project (MSP) organization to Sustainability to Special Assistant to the CEO. She has also provided direct member support to our millions of donors and activists. As Director of Planned Giving and Member Retention, Christy has added to her role a planned giving program for NumbersUSA's loyal and invested donor stakeholders. She is a proud West Virginia native, a former teacher and adjunct professor, and is soon to be married.
Steve, Courtney, and Christy look forward to sharing more about how you can continue to partner with NumbersUSA to achieve a sensible immigration policy. Please do not hesitate to reach out to them with questions about our programs or about our funding opportunities.

Better immigration is possible. Together, we have the strategy, expertise, and capacity to make it happen.

Best Regards,
