Are these votes and this from Christian's opponent Congressman Edwards, consistent with YOUR values and principles - your Mountain Values? Do you want more voting with RINOs and Democrats in the next Congress or someone who will vote NO? Our country is failing. You need to decide. Please vote for these candidates who have demonstrated that they adhere to constitutional authority. There are Rs out there who vote with Ds most of the time. We don't support them and neither should you if you want to save this nation. ATPAC's mission to determine the best possible candidates to serve WE THE PEOPLE is to scrutinize voting records of the candidates and ascertain whether or not the laws they enact adhere to constitutional authority. ATPAC supported Chuck Edwards in the 2022 election because we concluded he was the best candidate of all running based on his Raleigh record, his business savvy, and community involvement. He won NC11 by 33% of the vote leaving him to convince the other 67% who didn't vote for him that he was truly a champion of our sacred principles and values. Unfortunately, this has turned out not to be the case. He's just another RINO voting with Democrats on bills that pass. Do your homework! [link removed] Edwards' Voting Record Edwards doesn't seem to know that government shutdowns don't affect Social Security payments (his excuse for voting to raise the debt ceiling). During a recent phone Town Hall meeting he stated that if we closed down the government, Social Security would be put in jeopardy. A government shutdown has had no effect on social security distribution (at least it didn't the last time it happened.) It has been a matter of law since the 1990's. Edwards voted to increase the debt ceiling. [link removed] Hard working taxpayers have consistently called for dollar-for-dollar cuts and reforms along with any debt ceiling increases. This bill does not do that. This bill suspends the debt ceiling until 2025, enabling Biden and a divided Congress to generate an estimated $4 trillion in new federal debt. [link removed] Edwards along with 70 House RINOs chose to reward the FBI with a 300 million dollar headquarters (larger than the Pentagon) to reward Christopher Wray’s FBI who targeted the J6 protesters, Catholics, Christians, parents at school board meetings, journalists, and President Trump. [link removed] . This comes after years of FBI SWAT Team raids on over 1,000 Trump supporters who attended the Jan. 6, 2021 protests at the US Capitol. At least 80% of these FBI investigations, stalking, plotting, and arrests were for non-violent crimes like standing outside the US Capitol that day. Edwards voted against the 'resolution' to censure Congressman's Tlaib's glee and calls for violence against Israel. He cited that it would jeopardize our First Amendment. The next day and amid outrage from his constituents, he tried to walk back his vote by condemning UNC Asheville protesters for echoing Tlaib's sentiments. Threats of violence and fomenting hatred against other groups went out with the Civil Rights Movement. [link removed] On, December 14th, 2023, the 11th District Congressman, Chuck Edwards, "sold out the American people again by voting for a woke and weaponized National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and the reauthorization of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). As has been his pattern with other key votes, Rep. Edwards joined with other weak Republicans and Democrats. The Bill provides for transgender surgeries, drag queen shows on military bases and ships, continues Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies and indoctrination, continues Biden's Green Energy push within the military, and continues race-based admissions at military academies. Edwards' vote also continues taxpayer abortion travel funding for service members who are stationed in states that restrict abortions. Heritage Action, a subsidiary of the Heritage Foundation, called for a No Vote on NDAA and will record it as a Key Vote on their legislative scorecard. NDAAs passage will continue to degrade the military's war fighting capability and will exacerbate its recruiting shortfalls. Lastly, Edwards' vote to reauthorize FISA leaves the door wide open for continued weaponization by the Department of Justice to illegally spy on American citizens (300,000 times) and thereby violate their 4th Amendment rights granted by the U.S. Constitution. Chuck Edwards would have us believe that he is a MAGA conservative when in reality he has shown himself to be a loyal member of the Washington Uniparty Establishment Swamp."
