Bo French Weighs in on Primary

Last Saturday, TCGOP Chairman Bo French posted on Twitter a list of the qualities conservatives should look for in candidates for the March 5th Primary. He called for leadership that will face the challenges of our times and truly fight the Democrats who are working to take over our county and state. The message resounded widely with conservatives across Texas and comes on the heels of the Texas GOP censure of House Speaker Dade Phelan, which we covered in last week's Roundup.

Chairman French also sent out a letter to Republican voters in HD 97 outlining what he thinks conservatives should look for in a candidate, and guidance on how to pick the strongest conservative possible.

Texas GOP Convention Process Begins

The 2024 Convention process in Tarrant County for the Republican Party of Texas begins on March 7th. Delegates to State Convention get to select Party leadership, set the Legislative Priorities and Party Platform, and much more. State Convention is in late May, and before that Senate District Conventions will be March 23rd. But first is Precinct Conventions.

Precinct Conventions will be held for each precinct in Tarrant County on March 7th, from 7pm-9pm. The locations for each precinct can be found here and on our website, tarrantgop.org.

First Cabinet Impeachment in over 100 Years

In the last Roundup, we mentioned that the House had failed to pass an impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, and that they would try again this week. It happened! Earlier this week, the House successfully voted to impeach Mayorkas for facilitating the crisis at our Border.

Mayorkas is the first cabinet secretary to be impeachment in almost 150 years. Every Texas Republican voted for the impeachment.

SpaceX Comes to Texas

A few days ago, Elon Musk moved his rocket company SpaceX from Delaware to Texas. This comes after a judge in Delaware struck down a pay package for his company Tesla which was approved by its board members.

Musk encouraged others to move their companies out of Delaware. Governor Abbott welcomed the move.

Tucker Interviews Vladimir Putin

Last Friday, Tucker Carlson released an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin, that has since taken the internet and news by storm. On Twitter alone, the interview has over 200,000,000 views. They discussed everything from Ukraine to Bill Clinton and George Bush, to imprisoned American journalist Evan Gershkovich.
