John, I can’t say I’m surprised.
The Burisma story that Lauren Boebert and other Republicans spent the past seven months repeating on television, on Twitter, and in Biden impeachment talks?
It was all a lie, and their only evidence came from a man connected to Trump.
Alexander Smirnov is the source of allegations that the President and his son were paid $10 million to “protect” Burisma, where Hunter Biden was a board member.
He told the FBI that he was in meetings in 2015 and 2016 where executives discussed bribing the Bidens, but he didn’t even know the company existed until after Trump took office.
Now the Justice Department is charging him on two counts of making felony false statements and obstructing an investigation.
As it turns out, Smirnov is good friends with Michael Caputo, the former Russian public relations manager and Roger Stone protégé that Trump installed in his administration in 2020.
John, you can find more about Smirnov’s ties online if you want. Right now, we need to take a hard look at my opponent Lauren Boebert.
