Securing Our Energy Future and Creating More Jobs

Now more than ever, it is important the United States produces clean, affordable, and reliable energy. Unleashing American energy production with American LNG that is 40% cleaner than Russian LNG increases American energy independence and decreases reliance on adversaries.

This week, a bipartisan majority in the House of Representatives passed the Unlocking Our Domestic LNG Potential Act to cut through red tape and allow American producers to continue to export our energy to allies around the world. This bill passed will help open up more jobs in the U.S. and help secure our energy future.

Investigating Crypto Crime

This week, I continued my work on the Financial Services Committee to investigate crypto crime. We need to ensure bad actors can't use cryptocurrencies to launder money or facilitate terrorism, human trafficking, or other crimes. I questioned witnesses from the Treasury Department and industry to get to the bottom of this challenge.

In Case You Missed It

You may have seen a negative ad that tries to scare seniors about Social Security and Medicare. This ad is wildly misleading. In fact, the organization Politifact has labeled the ad "Mostly False.”

I support Social Security and Medicare. I am working to preserve these critical programs for future generations and my priority remains protecting those in retirement and individuals approaching retirement age. Wisconsin families have worked hard and paid into these programs and the federal government must keep its promise to American workers. I will always fight to preserve Social Security and Medicare, regardless of what outside groups may claim.
