Together We Advocate This year, we’re proud to welcome award-winning author, podcast host, lawyer, and bioethics expert Wesley Smith as one of our keynote speakers! The chairman of the Discovery Institute’s Center on Human Exceptionalism and host of the Humanize podcast, Smith has appeared on more than 1,000 television and radio talk/interview programs, including ABC Nightline, Good Morning America, EWTN, and Fox News Network, as well as nationally syndicated radio programs including Coast to Coast, Dennis Prager, and Afternoons with Al Kresta. Smith has worked extensively against assisted suicide and euthanasia. He has received recognition for his bioethics work from the National Journal and has been honored as “Great Defender of Life” by the Human Life Foundation. Throughout his career he has authored 14 books and published thousands of articles, columns, and opinion pieces on issues pertaining to the moral importance of human life in news outlets, including the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, National Review, and the American Journal of Bioethics. We’re also excited to welcome Euthanasia Prevention Coalition co-founder and executive director Alex Schadenberg as another of our inspiring speakers. Schadenberg has traveled the world speaking about euthanasia, written countless opinion columns, and maintains the world’s most widely-read blog on issues related to assisted death. He also authored the 2013 book Exposing Vulnerable People to Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide. In 2016, Schadenberg produced The Euthanasia Deception documentary with EWTN exploring 15 years of legalized euthanasia in Belgium.
