A new report from San Diego State University that I requested shows just how dire the situation is in the Tijuana River Valley (TRV). Researchers found more evidence that the contamination from cross-border sewage flow is creating an
increasingly dangerous public health crisis in our region.
This is one of the biggest environmental catastrophes in the western hemisphere. We need a solution now.
From beach closures to the local economy, public health, coastal ecosystems, and more, the damages are clear. I’m continuing to fight for the swift allocation of federal funds to clean up this crisis, and I need you to stand with me.

Residents are getting sick from exposure to runoff, and the damages to our local ecosystems will only worsen the longer this crisis continues. We can’t afford to wait for relief any longer.
I am committed to doing everything in my power to secure the funds we need to solve this urgent crisis once and for all.
Please stand with me in calling for clean water, clean beaches, and a healthy environment for all San Diegans:
