A New York judge has just ordered Trump to pay over $350 million in a civil fraud trial—and has barred him from doing business in New York for the next three years. This could cost him all of his available cash. Meanwhile, the criminal trial against Trump for offering hush money to Stormy Daniels in the 2016 election is scheduled to begin on March 25.

Donald Trump is scared. That's why his entire legal strategy in all his cases has been "delay, delay, delay" with frivolous objections—hoping to run the clock and get elected president before he is brought to justice. He even asked the courts to grant him immunity from any crimes that he committed as president, but a unanimous D.C. Circuit Court decision shut him down.

State and federal authorities can and must act swiftly to hold Trump accountable for his crimes as well as his other attacks on our democracy and elections. We must make it clear that no one, not even a former president, is above the law.
