Ayanna, who was a caregiver to her mother during her battle with leukemia.
Across the nation, caregivers do the essential work of supporting people
in the hardest moments of their lives.

Being a caregiver demands so much — selflessness, compassion, dedication,
and skill — but the impact can be life-changing for families in a moment
of need.

That’s why Ayanna is working hard to pass meaningful policies — like Home
and Community Based Services and living wages for care workers — to ensure
caregivers have the support they need while providing folks life-saving
care that allows them to age with dignity. Stronger care policies are not
just nice-to-haves — they are must-haves.
