Here are some updates from today.

• Run For Something’s Sara Hadad argues that the challenges our nation faces demands fresh perspectives and leaders who are representative of the people they serve. It's time to elect young and diverse individuals to state offices across the country. Read more here.

• Fourteen GOP attorneys general filed a brief supporting Georgia's argument that voters can't sue to enforce Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act. Twelve of the same AGs also argue that voters can't sue under the Civil Rights Act's Materiality Provision.

• The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the Harris County Republican Party in Texas does not have to release documents related to Senate Bill. 1, in a lawsuit challenging the state’s voter suppression law. Several Harris County Republicans were involved in writing and passing the law.

Here’s what to expect coming up.

• Tuesday is an order day for the U.S. Supreme Court. We’ll be keeping an eye out for two legislative redistricting cases in Washington and a congressional redistricting case in Arkansas.

• The Kansas Supreme Court will hear oral argument in a lawsuit challenging three provisions of a 2021 voter suppression law. The law limits ballot collection, restricts advocacy organizations from helping voters and imposes a signature verification requirement.

• The 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals will hear oral argument in a lawsuit challenging Pennsylvania’s plan to not count undated mail-in ballots or wrongly dated mail-in ballots.
