Dear Friends and District 6 Community Members,

There are just 74 days until the Primary on April 30th! At that point the race will narrow down to two candidates and the Special Election will happen on May 14th.

As you consider your support in this race – it’s critical to think about the expansive area of policy the County interacts with – health and human services, transportation, housing and the largest government budget ($2.65B) outside of the State of Minnesota. It’s important when electing the next commissioner that they are ready to get to work on day one!

My experience and record shows for the past 6 years I have worked tirelessly for our State taking on complex policies in a wide range areas that intersect with the work of Hennepin County. I have represented Edina and Bloomington and now, I am ready to expand and represent all 16 cities in District 6.

From my calls throughout our district, it is clear, our cities have so much in common. We want clean water, to address invasive species, reduce microplastics, increase recycling – decrease waste, have pedestrian friendly communities, work to reduce climate change, services that are responsive for people with disabilities and seniors that values their dignity and housing that meets all of our needs. We can improve these systems in a way that is inclusive, welcoming and moves issues forward for residents and our cities.
