They tried to remove our press release

THE RODEO INDUSTRY WON'T BULLY US

Dear John,

Yesterday, we released a press release about the two protests being held this weekend against bull riding at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The PBR (Professional Bull Riders') lawyers tried to get our press release removed from PRnewswire. They reported the content was inaccurate, and damaging to PBR/Endeavor, and libelous.

THEY FAILED. LCA's press release is now being circulated via the internet and social media.

We have released press releases before about protests, not sure why PBR tried to take down this particular one. Maybe it's because they know we are winning the fight against animal exploitation. Maybe it's because we called the PBR event a "bull riding clown circus show." Maybe it's because we spread the truth about the inherent suffering of animals in bull riding and rodeo events. Maybe it's because the L.A. City Council voted YES UNANIMOUSLY to ban rodeo events in Los Angeles. Whatever the reason, their bully tactics didn't work. We will never back down from helping the animals.

You can help the animals too. Join the protest tonight and tomorrow at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Details below.

If you can't attend the protest, you can help to get the Los Angeles Rodeo Ban finalized. Make a public comment of support on the Los Angeles Rodeo Ban - Council file #20-1575. It's simple, just write, "I support the Los Angeles Rodeo Ban. There is no excuse for animal abuse." and press submit at the bottom of the page.

IMPORTANT REMINDER:
In December 2023, the Los Angeles City Council voted YES UNANIMOUSLY to ban rodeos. Unfortunately, the ban is not in place yet because we are waiting for language to be amended in Committee. While the City Council drags their feet, the animals continue to suffer.

The rodeo industry boasts that the animals do not suffer, but, according to this twitter feed by Los Angeles Times reporter, Susanne Rust, the animals routinely suffer fractures, snapped spines, and crushed skulls, and the rodeo lies about it. You can read the original article Rust wrote here.

For the animals,
